About the blue mountains, do you think we should stay overnight or a day trip would suffice.
Please let me know how you would have planned it.

Wow heaps of things to do and see ,you could cover brisbane and gold coast in 2-3 days. You can fly to one of the islands from there ,mainly Hamilton Island.Any reason why u want to go to the Blue Mountains. You need a little more time me thinks
Day trip to the Blue Mountains will suffice. Internal flights are cheap. I recommend you go to Northern Queensland and sail the Whitsundays. Definately go to Whitehaven Beach. Swim the Barrier Reef istad of spending alot of time in Brisbane.
You can sail the Whitsundays from various places i did it from Arlie Beach so get the map out. The more you plan ahead the better experience you will have.
10 days honeymoon for a start will you get time out of your motel/hotel room?
if you thing you will have time for site-seeing ok
blue mountains -find a nice B&B for a start 2 days there
gold coast-beaches/theme parks 5 days there
morton island/south straddie 2 days there too
brissy-2 days for a good look around
To cover all three areas, take a plane to cover the distance between Sydney and Brisbane. Personally, for a honeymoon experience, I’d head north of Brisbane and go to the Great Barrier Reef, or try Hamilton Island. There is Stradbroke Island just off Brisbane, but it doesn’t have that many secluded spots.
One day in the Blue Mountains is enough, unless you like bushwalking and abseiling. Then I’d recommend two, but no more than that. The beaches are better.
Where are you flying from?? You could arrive into Sydney, spend maybe 2-3 days there, include the blue mountains but i think a day trip would be enough. Go onto Brisbane which one day would be enough there as well. There are plenty of islands up there for example Hayman, Hamilton, Dunk, Heron. Stay maybe 3 days there and you could also go up to Cairns and do the rainforest and the reef.
You would be able to stretch your days out into whatever destination that you would like. If you are an international visitor i don’t reccomend the Gold Coast because you would be able to get all of that into the Island experience, unless you were after the theme parks but i don’t think they are very romantic.
Just contact a travel company and they should be able to help you plan this and reccomend what places to go to.
It depends on where you are coming from. Think about a two or three days jetlag in the first place.
Only ten days for honeymooning all along Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney is much too short. It’ll be enough to discover Sydney and the Blue Mountains but not for what else you’d like to see.
Think you are coming over from the States or Japan??? Because those blokes think to travel all around the country within a few days.
Sydney first ,3-4 days should be OK .fly to Coolangata for Gold Coast or Brisbane airport .You just have to go to Fraser Island, you can hire a 4×4 in rainbow beach , you will need it,no roads on Fraser just sand.Great for seclusion.
And to chill, visit Byron Bay 2 hours drive south of Brisbane
No seclusion on the Gold Coast just high rise.

Getting around between Sydney and Brisbane is easy. you can get cheap flights on http://www.virginblue.com.au or http://www.jetstar.com.au
I would recommend going to the Sunshine Coast instead of the Gold Coast. its north instead of south of Brisbane, and is more beautiful and less crowded. Noosa would be beautiful for a honeymoon. You can fly into Maroochydore airport.
