Has anyone done a cruisetour to Alaska thru Princess Cruises? I plan to do it for my honeymoon. ?
When you stay in the lodges are the restaurants all inclusive just like the ship? Or do you have to pay for your meals at the lodges?

I took the cruise tour on Princess several years ago and as I recall the meals on the train were included but when we stopped overnight at the Princess lodge in Denali National Park we had to pay for our meals and they were very expensive, like at a resort area. The prices were high in part because you are in Alaska where restaurant prices and the cost of living in general is high.
Your cruise tour package will specify what meals are included.
Today the cruise lines have deals with lodges & hotels. Each itinerary is different. Some meals are included ( usually breakfest) For those that are not THEY ARE NOT EXPENSIVE. They cost no more than going to your local Apple Bees or Texas Road House. I have taken a cruise/tour there sometimes 4 a season for the past 8 years and do not spend alot on food. For 4 adults a steak dinner cost about $100.00 with tip.
Princess has a deal with Denali & Hotels in Fairbanks. The rooms are amazing
Just double checked, if you have the Princess brochure the cruise/tours starting with the letter N, O & P are escorted, starting on page 50 and it states most meals on land are included. The regular cruise/tours are not.
Enjoy.
I have done this cruise and thus far it was my favorite cruise. When you stay in the lodges, you have to pay for your own meals. It is just like any restaurant. But when I went to the one in Denali, they did have like a deli and cafe where for lunch you can get a quick bite. There were also some shops across the street for buying all sorts of things too.
