How do you plan a honeymoon date that will not fall into the time of the bride’s menstruation period?
….for obvious reasons? Also, i would like to know if it is possible if the date can be planned to fall in her infertile period too, if planned months in advance. thanks ;)

Most gals have a pretty regular cycle…you can always ask the bride (assuming you are the fiancee) when would be a good time…. Or she can go on the pill / patch….which would keep her period at bay and protect you two from an unplanned pregnancy.
If her period is regular, it should be easy to plot out. However, unless you two are planning on beginning a family on your honeymoon, birth control pills are a great option. You can control when your period comes then. Because it gives you 3 weeks of the pill and one week of placebo (during which you get your period), it it easy to tell when a period is coming. Also, if you do that and the period is due the weke of the honeymoon, the bride can take more of the actual pills and skip the week of the placebo, taking when the honeymoon is over.
You could do this by figuring out when her “time of the month” is and as far as infertile time, there isn’t any. I would suggest birth control if you do not want to conceive right away. This is something you should discuss with your bride -to -be, not us.
Unless she’s on the pill, you can’t. Stress can disrupt cycles, and many women don’t have regular cycles anyway. Even if she is regular, you just can’t accurately predict something “months in advance”! Her best bet to be sure she does not get her period is to go on the pill. Other than that, just be sure to use some contraception.
My Monthly Cycles has a calculator just for this.
If a girl is regular, she should be able to get a calender and figure it out. Just count how many days each cycle is, and count up on the calender until you get your desired wedding date. If the period falls at that time, pick the next week. If the bride isn’t regular, this won’t help. Birth control is a good option..it makes you regular and prevents pregnancy.
Also, there is really no infertile time, there’s just a peak at ovulation when it’s easiest to get pregnant.
you can get on the pill a few months before and then you can chose when to have your cycle.
Well, if you aren’t using any contraception, then the best idea would be for the bride to start using it NOW (since it can upset her periods for a few months) or she needs to observe her body to determine when she’s fertile and infertile. This is called Natural Family Planning, and there are tons of resources on the internet and in books if you are willing to look. Generally, a woman is infertile two weeks after her period starts. Course, that’s just a guideline. Every period and every woman is different. It really depends on when she ovulates, which could be at any time within that two week range (or later in some cases).
Obviously, you don’t want to get pregnant right away. So remember, those little sperm can live up to five days inside that nice warm environment she provides before they fertilize the egg…
My best advice is to get your doctor to put you on the Depo shot. Once every three months you get a shot in the hip (for birth control) but the side effect is that you don’t get your period! It’s fantastic!
There’s also another another form (I think it’s called Seasonol) in which your period comes once every couple of months.
Good luck.
Just to repeat what others have just written, there is no safe time during the cycle when your bride is guaranteed not to get pregnant. As they say, the rhythm method equals pregnant! The pill or condoms will keep you from conceiving.
It helps if she is on the pill or some kind of birth control where her cycle is like clockwork. Then, just count the weeks. You can also check with your doctor to see if anything can be done to “tweak” the cycle.
Have her see the gynocologist.
There are 11 different forms of birth control and many of them will make aboslutely sure she is not fertile or on her period.
Personally I like the Seasonel. Take once daily and you only have to have four periods the entire year. None if you know for sure you don’t ever want kids and don’t mind the risk of screwing up your biological clock.
A Depo shot or an IUD will stop periods for up to a year.
go on the pill, then u can change when u get ur period or not.
if you are on a mono cycle birth control like yasmin or seasonique you can skip periods… ummm also if you know your cycle and its regular, you should be able to figure it out… it would just be time consuming
Just go on the pill. That way you can either time it so you don’t get your period then, or skip the period all together. Plus you don’t have to worry about getting pregnant.
I went on birth control pills before I was married because I was advised never to get pregnant but did not have sex until I was married. Talk to your OBY/GYN and they can help you with the birth control the pill or other wise to help plan so you did not get your period.
We eventually decided that children would not be the best option so one of us had surgery to prevent this everyone is different you need to do what is best for you and your intended.
