I want to plan a honeymoon for myself in Dec mid. I am thinking Buenos Aires for 7 days? How much will it cost and is it a good choice. My budget is 3000 US dollars only. I was thinking I could do some scuba diving too…

Why BA, it is a big dirty city. With $3000usd I would set my sites a bit higher? Like Rio or lots of other places.
3000 US dollars is pretty darn good for a Buenos Aires honey moon (About 9000 pesos argentinos, which is what a regular Argentinean earns in three or four months). It’s not the most beautiful city in the world, but if you are considering it, you probably know that it has a lot of cultural and interesting things to offer. It is also a great place for strolling, buying leather goods or looking for high couture. A lot of artistic and musical venues are to be found in every corner. If it is going to be a short trip, try going to nearby towns like Tigre, or taking a boat to Colonia. Also, if you guys are interested in animals, you can go to the Zoologico de Lujan (an hour away fron buenos aires) and actually TOUCH TIGERS and LIONS. (10 bucks for getting there, 10 bucks for the entrance). It is a great experience. With your budget you can go without a worry to the highest quality restaurants in buenos aires and get amazing beef and salmon. I recommend Olsen, a nordic style restaurant. If you can make your stay longer, then you should try heading over to bariloche or ushuaia and see de ice glaciers. I DON’T recommend going to mar del plata, and scuba diving will usually imply freezing you ass off. The sea is extremely cold around most of argentina.
not to critique your destination as I have never been to Buenos Aires, but the Caribbean islands have many popular destinations for honey moons with much better beaches and diving locations for scuba. Some of the best dive sites in the world can be found in places such as Cozumel, Grand Cayman etc. I would recommend you check out a variety of the more popular destinations.
Another good idea is perhaps you should schedule a cruise, it will get your scuba diving in, avoid the hastle of traveling by going in leisure. Crusing has always been a lot of fun for me.
