Lucy’s plans for a “second honeymoon” in Sun Valley, Idaho, are frozen when Ricky, Fred and Little Ricky land appearances on a television show. Undaunted, Lucy announces that she and Ethel will go on the trip as planned-without the menfolk! Once they arrive at the trendy winter resort, a miserable and lonely Lucy decides to make Ricky jealous by capturing the attention of fellow vacationer Fernando Lamas (guest starring as himself). Her plan snowballs out of control when Lucy and Fernando’s antics heat up Ricky’s ire!

This is the seventh season of i love lucy so it was probably aired in 1957-8. Desi and lucy were on good terms for about the 7th and 8th season. The last season you can tell he lost some of his feelings for her on the set. And toward the ending of the show they barely showed up in the same scenes with each other.

when was this episode filmed and aired? i’m just wondering b/c i know that if this was earlier in the series lucy and ricky would have been a lot more lovey dovey. by this time how were lucy and desi term wise? were they on good terms, not-so-good terms, or bad terms? also, when did they get on iffy terms and when did they get on bad terms?

I agree. However, Little Ricky’s real name was Keith Thibodeaux, but Desi suggested that he change his name to Richard Keith Thibodeaux. This way he could be called “Little Ricky” all the time. So, actually, “Little Ricky” was his real name.
Poor little Ricky doesn’t even get his real name spelled out in the opening credits like the other actors.
