For the best price I would look for something all inclusive, that will be your best deal. Try this website: http://www.everydaytravelconnections.com

Yes, the internet is safe as long as you buy from a legitimate website like cheapair.com. You can book airfare and hotel stays and car rentals all in one place.

Don’t be afraid to use a travel agent. Booking your own travel isn’t that difficult, but if you’re going to an international destination I suggest you use a TA. We used one for our HM and the price she gave us was only $100 more than a similar package we priced from Costco. Considering that our HM cost so much, an extra $100 was worth it. If any problems arise a TA can handle it, and if you have any special requests from a hotel or airline the TA will take care of it. You can always go into an agency, speak with an agent and ask him/her to price something out for you. You’re not required to book with them.

Travel agents normally get their commission from the airlines, the tour operators and hoteliers. They will try their best to get you the best rates on the budget you give them.
Online booking is now the “in thing”. Your budget would get you a nice romantic getaway to Malaysia’s Island paradise.
