I’d go to Puerto Vallarta, It is so beautiful. Get an all inclusive package that way you know what you get for the price and it will usually be cheaper that way instead of getting everything separate. Most hotels in PV are awesome. Visit the beaches, stay in the pool, whale watching, jungle tours, the options are endless. They also have great food, shopping and nightlife.

A honeymoon is an important event and I would not advise you to fly air only.
Sounds like Cancun or one of several nearby resort towns.
I think all the hotels that travel agencies suggest have been recommended and approved by one entity or another.
Travel agencies, in my experience dont sent you to the $10.00 a night place(They should)

The Palace Resorts are very nice for a honeymoon. I see you asked this question in the Cozumel category. You are in the right place.

Cozumel Palace is an all-inclusive resort. 10 minutes away from the airport, in a great location. A 4 star resort with very reasonable prices for such a nice resort. The resort just won the 2008 Travelers Choice award for best luxury in the caribbean and best all-inclusive. Travelers like yourself vote for different resorts, airlines etc.

Cozumel is also just a ferry ride away (45 minutes) to Playa del Carmen. Nice to do a day trip over. Another island to visit.

If it’s in the budget, rent a jeep and drive to the other side of the island that they call the “wild side” because it has surf and riptides (the east side) Bring your camera. Stop along the way for some refreshments, Coconuts Bar and Mezcalitos Bar and restaurant.

Excellent snorkeling and diving in Cozumel.

You will have a great time. Congrats and enjoy)

We just returned from Sun Palace, another all-inclusive resort owned by Palace Resorts.

I’ve never been so spoiled before! World-class spa treatments, gourmet meals, unlimited delicious drinks, infinity pools, in-suite jacuzzi (my favorite), daily maid service, 24-hour room service, free wireless connections, free calls to US and Canada, half-price golf, tours to ancient Mayan temples…

I bought a membership so can offer anyone a great discounted price! (If you do go to a Palace Resort, I wouldn’t recommend buying a membership. You can get the same discount from a member like me, without paying a large upfront cost.)

Depending on which resort and when, you can get a week for two for around $2000!

For more on my week at Sun Palace, see my blog at http://timesharerentalsrus.wordpress.com/2010/01/09/palace-resorts-royal-living-for-less/.
