What is the average price of a Hawiian honeymoon?

My fiance and I are getting married in August 2008. We plan to honeymoon in Hawiia. Ideally we want to stay a week or more. We hope to obtain an all inclusive package for two. Does anyone know what the average cost of a Hawiian vacation would cost in 08′.

This depends on the resort! If I were you, I would look online at the different options, then budget from there. I would think I could cost you anywhere from $2500 on up. It sounds really nice though!

I don’t know the average cost, but I can tell you what it cost us. We went to Maui for two weeks. We stayed at two different places and rented a car, that total was $4050. Our plane tickets were given to us as a gift, but they were $750 each. We thought it would cost $250 per day for food and minimal activities. In the end we spent more than $250 per day because we ate at really nice restaurants and shopped a bunch. We also took a helicopter ride ($400), went to a Luau ($150), and rented snorkel gear.

Hope that helps! Have fun!

it depends on where you go in hawaii….we stayed on Oahu for a week. Our plane tickets were given to us – but the rental car and hotel was around $1500 for the week and we probably spent on average $200 a day sightseeing, shopping, and eating.

All in all – we weren’t able to get everything we wanted done in just one week, but that gives us an excuse to go back later on.

I hear it’s normally about 5 grand if you want to have a nice time and do lots of extra stuff. I heard the food is very $$$ and I have NEVER heard of Hawaiian being all inclusive- only the lower rate 3rd world countries do that like Mexico, Jamaica and DR do that. I can also tell you it’s not really worth it because your stuck eating in one hotel the whole time… and they water down the drinks so your not really saving any money.

According to Forbes, the average price for a one week honeymoon in Hawaii is $3400. However, the price can vary significantly depending on which island you visit and how nice of places you want to stay at and eat at. My friend recently honeymooned in Maui and I know her 1 week trip cost more like $5k.

Hawaii doesn’t have all inclusive resorts like the Carribean, but there are packages available that include air, car rental, and hotel lodging. Sometimes you can save a lot of money on these packages.

keep in mind, it depends also on airfare. leaving from and if you choose direct flights. also, there are many variables… which island you stay on, if you island hop… things like that. Mine was from NY and it was about $4000 for 10 days.

It really does depend on where you stay. I am researching different options for my own honeymoon to Maui & I’ve found lots of options. It may help to speak with a travel agent. If you’re looking for something cheaper, consider renting a condo. You don’t get all the added extras like in a hotel, but it’s cozy and private. You can use this site to get an idea of costs:

Ask about honeymoon packages. Some may offer a rental car, daily breakfast, couples massage, or something simliar.
Here is one I found on Kaanapali Beach in Mau to give you an ideai:

Just do some research according to what your budget is, I’m sure you can find something that will work! Even if your budget is limited, you do have options, you just won’t get to stay at a high-end resort. But honestly, it would be hard to find a “bad” place in Hawaii…it’s all so beautiful!
