What’s the cheapest way to plan a honeymoon to Italy?

On a budget here, but want to have the honeymoon of a lifetime in Italy. Should I call a travel agent?? Perhaps a cruise?? I would really love to spend $4,000 (or wayyyyy less!) Thanks!

I was looking for a vacation package to Italy the other day and I came across this site:

I havent booked or anything, but you might want to check it out. They had good prices for trips to Italy.

Hope you get what you want!! I would also looove a honeymoon in Italy, or France!

The cheapest way to plan a honeymoon to Italy is to plan it yourself.

First, decide how long you can go for and the dates.

Next, go to kayak.com to find the cheapest plane tickets.

Then, buy a guidebook of Italy and/or look up online where you would like to go. Italy is a wonderfully beautiful place so you really can’t go wrong. Create an itinerary of the places you want to go and how long to stay in each. You can easily take the train between cities or rent a car if you want to explore the country side. Your guidebook can give you recommendations on where to stay and give you tons of information.

And don’t worry, at least in the major cities English is understood.

talk to a travel agent in italy
tell them you have 3k to spend there and you need their help
who knows their country better then them?
i have been to italy several time and that’s what i would do
have fun

I second the plan it yourself suggestion. You can easily have a lovely honeymoon without breaking the bank. Here are some tips on touring Rome and beyond for as little as 50 euro per person/day. http://www.wheninrometours.com/Articles/Rome-News/Touring-Rome-on-50-Euro-A-Day.html

Congratulations!
